We invite you to take part in our V edition of Karate competition – Pomerania Cup in Rumia – a town situated near the north coast of Poland, next to Gdynia and Gdansk.

RULES

The tournament will be run on 5 tatami according to current WKF rules with the following alterations:

a) Individual kata

  • Categories up to 7 years: any kata, presented by 2 competitors together
  • Categories: 8 years, 9 years, U12: at least two kata (free choice) presented alternately by 2 competitors together
  • Categories U14: at least three kata (free choice)presented alternately
  • Categories U16 and U18: WKF rules

b) Team kata

  • Categories up to 10 years: any kata, bunkai not obligatory
  • Categories U14: at least two kata alternately, bunkai not obligatory
  • Categories U16, U18: each round different kata
  • A kata team may be complemented by a competitor from a younger category

c) Individual and team kumite

  • Categories up to 9 years: time of match: 60 seconds
  • Categories U12 and U14: time of match: 90 seconds
  • Categories U16 and U18: time of match: 120 seconds
  • Categories Seniors Male: time of match: 180 seconds
  • Categories Seniors Female: time of match: 120 seconds

COMPETITION PROGRAM

April, 5. 2014
8:00 – 10:00 – registration, weighing
8:30 – referees briefing
9:45 – coaches briefing
10:00 – 20:00 – eliminations and finals

STARTING FEES

Individual category – 12 Euro
Team category – 20 Euro
Payments at the registration, at the hall

AGE OF COMPETITORS

The age catetory is defined by the date of birth (not year).

PRIZES

Winners of first three places receive medals and diplomas.
Winners of the categories receive also cups.
The best club in the medal classification will receive a Pomerania Cup of Rumia Mayor.
The best competitors male and female will receive Cups of the Wejherowo District Governor

FINAL ARRANGEMENTS

– Matters of dispute are arbitrated by the Chief Judge in agreement with the Organizer
– Placing a protest is subject to a protest fee in amount of PLN 200(50EURO)
– The Organizer shall not be responsible for lost things.
– The competitor’s club is responsible for the eventual damages made by its member.
– Sale and presentation of goods – only with the approval of the Organizer

REFEREES

List of referees will be settled by the Organizers in agreement with the Chairman of the Polish Referee Commission. Referees from the foreign countries coming together with teams are generally accepted and should contact the Organizer.
